Southern Highland Wineries...

The Southern Highlands is a region becoming increasingly well known as a cool climate wine growing district. Here the grapes ripen slowly producing very elegant and distinctive tasting wines.

We drive down winding country lanes, stopping to sample an array of local food, wines and cheeses. The typically cosy, cellar doors are very relaxing and welcoming with tastings often seated beside an open fire place.

Bou-saada Vineyard and Wines

Bou-saada is home to a 13 acre vineyard which began with plantings of Sauvignon Blanc vines in 1997 followed by Merlot, Chardonnay and Riesling in 1998. In 2001, a further 7 acres were prepared for planting out in 2002 adding Pinot Noir, Tempranillo and Cabernet Franc.
Blue Metal Vineyard

This Vineyard is the highest in the region sitting at 790m above sea level and lies over a cap of basalt rock, known as blue metal. The white varieties are Sauvignon Blanc, Pinot Gris and Viognier. The reds are Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Petit.
Centennial Vineyards

The Southern Highlands first 5-Star winery, having won over 300 awards in Australian and International wine shows. Breathtakingly grand restaurant with separate cellar door, showcasing an extensive range of quality wines, guaranteed to please any palate.
Diamond Creek Estate

An award winning Vineyard and Olive Grove with a mission to produce the best single estate grown wines. It has an unique topography which leaves it relatively immune from frost and an ideal microclimate for cultivating premium quality, cool climate wine grapes and olives.
Eling Forest Winery and Restaurant

Nestled in between rolling hills, the cottage style award winning restaurant serves a full a la carte or light lunch menu of main, dessert and glass of wine. Visit the cellar door for a tasting whilst being given an interesting talk on the variety of wines and the art of wine making.
Howards Lane Vineyard

Fall in love with the glorious views from the cellar door as the vineyard spreads below 800m of bushland slopes. Each vine is pruned by hand and grapes are hand harvested producing only 250 cases each of fine chardonnay and cabernet sauvignon annually.
Joadja Vineyards and Winery

Relax by the fire at the original and oldest vineyard of the Southern Highlands, known for its quaint, rustic old style country charm. Enjoy a guided wine tour, tastings of award winning boutique and dessert wines, plus local cheese, jam and olive tastings.
Marist Brothers Wines

The Hermitage Vineyard supports a range of grapes including Sauvignon Blanc, Pinot Noir, Merlot, Cabernet Merlot, Riesling, Pinot Gris and a desert Merlot. The property was originally used as the Novitiate (a training centre for young men to become Brothers).
Mount Ashby Estate

This boutique vineyard produces Pinot Gris, Merlot and Chardonnay. Sit around the French farmhouse tables, within the restored original dairy enjoying views of the vineyard surrounded by grazing dairy cattle. Also on the site is the Bowral Produce Store (circa 1918).
Sally's Corner Wines

The newwest cellar door to open in the region. Local family Allen and Dawn who are viticulturalists love a chat and offer wine appreciation lessons showing you the finer points towards appreciating a good wine. Enjoy a great social day outing while relaxing and sipping some of the best.
Southern Highland Wines

SHW have created a winery and cellar door that is fresh, modern and spacious. Winemaking at SHW integrates new world technology and old world artistry to complement the natural flavours and aromas unique to its estate grown grapes.
St Maur Estate

Pinot Noirs and Cabernet Merlots are the specialty at St Maur, created by using the traditional methods of Northern Italy. They produce wines that are of wonderful colour, full of flavour and enhanced by maturing for up to 12 months in French Oak barrels, made in Italy.
Sutton Forest Estate Wines

A little piece of Italy in the Southern Highlands. Sutton Forest Estate Wines are makers of fine quality boutique wines, family owned and operated. Come in and experience our award winning wines, as recommended by the Qantas In Flight Magazine and SMH Good Living Guide.
Tertini Wines

Tertini Wines is dedicated to producing premium, cool climate wines with a particular interest in alternative varieties. The wines are subtle and elegant, with excellent fruit characters arising from the long, slow ripening period and our commitment to limiting crop levels to below 3 tonnes to the acre. High natural acidity gives the wines a clean finish and good cellaring potential.
